i want this book
Like many of those who gave their reviews online, I was captivated by the first line. I just had to choose which books to buy from the book sale (see previous post). So okay, this book will have to wait until next payday.


Rape : A Love Story by Joyce Carol Oates

Seems interesting, doesn't it.

    i think that it's ok to spoil yourself and stock up on books... i still have a few in waiting too.

    this reminds me of a news item back in 2001 in this country. a woman took the rapist to court.

    however, during the proceedings the women and her rapist got to know each other better.

    they fell romantically in love and the charges were lifted. the court case turned into a wedding.
